I led the design pitch that landed us the Amba Hotels account! What's even more exciting is that our work opened the doors to more opportunities, allowing us to create new content.
Making And Breaking The Grid
The grid: a cornerstone of impeccable design. Whether embracing its structure or daring to rupture it, the grid remains an unwavering presence.
Within this creation, the grid is distilled from the A in AMBA, becoming both the foundation and fragmentation of the design.
Akin to the facets of a diamond, it incises through the content, imparting a fractured elegance. All with the singular intent: to transcend and uplift the essence of the brand.
Announcement Site
My initial creation: an announcement site. I harnessed photography, fusing intricate details and expansive panoramas into single frames. Picture cubism, but with a diamond twist. As the site comes to life, elements shift smoothly in parallax, adding a subtle dynamic to the experience.
Parallax Scroll
To capture the essence of gazing into a diamond or crystal, I ensured the images subtly shifted with varying focal lengths in the photography. This created dynamic, shifting perspectives reminiscent of cubism.
Core Booking Platform
Following the announcement site, my attention shifted to the main booking hub. Here, the spotlight illuminated content and the booking process. Functionality took precedence over aesthetics, although both remained vital. Balancing this tandem was an engaging task, and I relished the opportunity to infuse a novel design with life.
Photography
I was commissioned to create original photography for the site. The hotels, though possessing 5-star status, were amidst renovations during the site design. This challenge propelled me to leverage the enchantment of nightfall, infusing the shots with allure and mystique.
My focus pivoted from staring at the hotel's façade to gazing out from within, conjuring a diamond-like perspective. Once more, I harnessed the enchantment of light to craft my vision.
